Argentine designer Ricky Sarkany confessed he never imagined writing a book like this: 'One thinks writing a book is simple, but it is about opening your heart and letting it all out.' During the talk, there were moments of deep emotion when the designer remembered his daughter Sofía, who passed away in 2021. Nevertheless, he highlighted his daughter's strength and her legacy: 'If we measure her in enjoyment, she was a millionaire; she did absolutely everything she wanted.' The book is already available in all Yenny bookstores, although Sarkany clarified that those who purchase it at his own stores can get signed and dedicated copies by him. 'There is a complicity from Meta, from those who manage Instagram and social networks, because they allow people who are not even Argentine to enter freely without being vetted,' he denounced. Beyond this complaint, the main reason for the interview was the launch of his book at the Ateneo Grand Splendid. 'When something happens that you feel shouldn't have happened... I have no answer for that,' he reflected. 'As beautiful things happen, one feels deserving.' However, the presentation also served as a platform for a strong denunciation of the technological crimes his brand suffers. According to the Argentine News Agency, the designer warned about a sophisticated fraud scheme that uses artificial intelligence to clone his image and voice to scam unsuspecting clients on social media. Sarkany detailed that there are scammer companies that clone websites and people to deceive users. 'Suddenly I'm the one talking, because they clone my image and voice, and you go to a page where they can use your data or you make a purchase, but at the time of payment they change the product for a bracelet and take your money,' the entrepreneur explained. The designer pointed out that this problem not only affects his brand but also other international firms like Moncler, and pointed to the responsibility of digital platforms.
